After the trip to France in 2015, I was looking forward to our trip in 2016. It did not disappoint! Gaetane’s organisation of the trip was perfect; we experienced true French hospitality at a Chambres d’Hôtes, visited a slate mine and a family run cidrerie. We saw the famous Bayeux tapestry and visited the lovely port of Honfleur. Not forgetting the authentic French pique-niques and of course the chance to listen, understand and speak French with support from Gaetane and fellow students in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Looking forward to the next trip already! Merci beaucoup Gaetane.

Tom and I would just like to say that, as "the new kids on the block" so to speak, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in France with both yourself and the rest of the group.  We felt that you all contributed to our better understanding of the french language.  Our trips to "Le Souterroscope", La Cidrerie, Tapestry and Honfleur were so interesting and again we have picked up new vocabulary and are more confident to speak more french.  Staying at the chambres d'hótes, in the home of Jack and Florence, sharing their lifestyle, food and beautiful accommodation was a stroke of genius, made the whole trip really special.
Looking forward to booking again for next year!

Hi Gaetane
Youv'e done it again!
You managed to organise another great trip to France, with lots to do and see. Plenty of time and opportunity to practice our French, both hearing and understanding and conversing. The Chambres d'hótes was unique as were the proprietor and her husband. We learned a lot about the traditions, food and drink of Normandy. It was nice also, that the place we stayed at was so different to the one we experienced on our last trip, last summer.
I'm sure that all my fellow students will agree that we had lots of fun, interest and comaraderie.  It's a great way to get to know each other better and feel that we all have a common goal: Improve our French and maybe one day soon be able to speak it fluently.

Gaetane
Thank you for a very "French Holiday". This was no ordinary holiday as we were allowed to have an insight into french life and french hospitality with your help, understanding and diplomacy between the two cultures. You were able to let us hear the language from various proprietors along our journey and translate where necessary which gave us more confidence to reply if we could. I personally think it a great honor to be invited into french peoples lives as a foreigner and be welcomed in to see a snap shot of how they live and work. This was an experience not to be missed and will be going again next year.
Thank you again.

Our trip to Bayeux with French lessons in Kent presented us with a splendid opportunity to converse and interact with 'real French people'. We stayed in beautiful chambres d'hôtes in la commune française of Caumont L’Eventé. The trip was  meticulously organised by Gaetane, proprietor and tutor of French lessons in Kent. Everything went as planned and we visited the Bayeux tapestry musée, Bayeux cathedral, le jardin botanique, une Cidrerie where they produced calvados, Le souterroscope (underground caves), La ancient commune of Honfleur that's situated on the banks of the Seine estuary… I cannot praise Gaetane enough for this superb three day trip.

“Thanks for an educational - and very entertaining - few days in Normandy.
I’ve never had the courage to try a chambres d’hôte in France before but I shall in future have to think again since you made an inspired choice with this one. It was in particular a great experience to sit down with the owners and enjoy some home-cooked traditional French dishes. In my view the meal couldn’t have been better.  I can assure that it was delicious. I had a second helping! “

What better way to add a touch of authenticity to your French lessons, than with a trip to France?  Gaetane's organisation of the 2-day voyage was faultless - we enjoyed a tour of a hop farm making beer, pretty hill-top villages, a typical French picnic and with B&B at a wonderful chambre d'hôtes following a typical French evening meal at a local auberge, we were thoroughly immersed in the French experience. With the opportunity to practice our French with each other, and the locals too when we were feeling brave, I feel it was an experience that should not be missed!

Quel bon voyage!
A year has passed since I began taking French lessons with Gaetane so when she organised a trip to France I leapt at the opportunity to practise my French.
We departed from Meopham Green at 7.30am, three hours later we arrived in Bailleul, France near Lille. After stopping for a pique nique lunch sur l’herbe we toured a farm where they grow hops and brew the beer, it tasted très bon. That evening we had an excellent meal at a French restaurant. Gaetane had already arranged accommodation at superb chambres d’hôtes for the night. The next day after breakfast we went to a French supermarché to buy food (and some duty-free) for our pique nique lunch at Le mont de Cats. We visited a WW1 cimetière de l’anglais, as well as the ancient town of Cassel. A superb 2 day French experience which I will remember for many years.

Merci beaucoup Gaëtane for the excellent organisation of our trip and for your patience taking my French to the next level.

'A very enjoyable trip and a great opportunity to practice speaking French with others. It really helped my confidence and I can't wait for the next one'

Hayley

What a wonderful couple of days we spent in France !  Nine of us bundled into
a minibus which Gaetane hired for this purpose and off we went to Folkstone and the Eurotunnel for our much anticipated trip.
And it certainly matched our expectations, and more. We stayed at a beautifully converted Chambre d'hote in the outskirts of Bailleuil, visited a Hop Farm just up the road, enjoyed a wonderful meal of local dishes that evening and spent the next day walking around the beautiful hillside town of Cassell, having a picnic lunch and soaking in the typical French atmosphere, language and culture. Yes, all that in just 2 days. Gaetane organised every aspect of this trip with great care and efficiency from having  coffee and cake prepared at her home before departure, to making sure we were all enjoying ourselves -  and practicing our French - throughout the day.
Can't wait for  the next experience.
